For those of you not really interested in pureed garbanzo or chick peas, there are a few options.  One of which is explained here.  You can also use edamame, and some folks have included avocado in their recipes.  I personally prefer to enjoy hummus with pieces of avocado I can bite into so I leave them out of the hummus puree.

4 C peeled & chopped Raw Zucchini 
3/4 C Tahini – Sesame Paste
1/2 C Fresh Lemon Juice or 1 Lemon, juiced
1/4 C Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
4 Garlic cloves, peeled
2 tsp Sea Salt
1 TBSP Ground Cumin 
  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and puree until thick and smooth.  
  2. Taste and adjust seasonings to your preference.  
  3. Pour into a bowl.

Optional garnishes:  parsley, paprika, avocado, sesame seeds or drizzle olive oil over the top.
