This recipe has some variations to it, including dipping your chicken into dijon or honey mustard; or even Italian salad dressing. Think outside the box and I’m sure we can all come up with others too. If you make this as it, it tastes exactly as traditional fried chicken tastes – minus all the ridiculous fat calories. Healthy & Delicious, and can be made within 30 minutes when you use the thinly sliced chicken breasts.



Thin Sliced Chicken Breasts – $3.20

Savory Spice Shop’s Lake Barkley Fried Chicken Seasoning – $1.67

TOTAL: Supplies minus chicken = $10.94 (for 10 servings = 1.10 per serving + 1 serving Chicken 1.07 = Total per serving: $2.17


1 lb. Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts, thinly sliced
2 TBSP Savory Spice Shop’s Fried Chicken Seasoning
{or Mix together: 1/4 tsp of each: salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, ground black pepper, dry yellow mustard, sage, rosemary, thyme, parsley, and oregano}
1/2 C butter, melted for dipping
2 TBSP Garlic Powder
1/4 C Parmesan Cheese
1/2 C Cornflakes, crushed for topping

1. Prepare dipping stations: melt butter and leave in easy to access place.

2. Mix together spices, Parmesan cheese, crushed cornflakes, garlic powder and fried chicken spice.

3. Dip chicken first into butter, then into dry ingredient mixture. Place on cookie sheet.

4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until done thoroughly.

Serves 3 to 6 (depends on number of chicken breasts)
