I saw this one on Pinterest using Hershey Kisses and M&M’s.  I wanted to try it using something a little healthier.  So here you have it:  a Hershey bar with almonds and a pretzel with fruit…. I like it so much more with the fruit than without.  Just adds a little oomph to the flavor.

I used bananas, but have tried this with strawberries in the past.  I have to tell you – strawberries, blueberries and raspberries are the way to go with this one!  And I’m not sure where they find the round pretzels, I have yet to locate them, so I used the regular small pretzels, lightly salted.


COST:

Bag of Pretzels – $1.50
Hershey Chocolate Bar with Almonds – $0.88
Banana – $0.10 (these were on sale for $0.32 per pound at Target)

TOTAL:  2.48 – 4 servings = $0.62 per serving

RECIPE:

1 Hershey Chocolate Bar with Almonds (king size gives you more servings)
12 Pretzels – one for each 1 oz. chocolate piece
Fruit for topping

1.  Heat over to 350 degrees.
2.  Lay pretzels out on a non-stick cookie sheet, top each pretzel with a 1 oz. piece of chocolate.
3.  Heat pretzels until they start to melt and turn off the over.  Place chopped fruit on top of each pretzel/chocolate.  You want the chocolate soft, but not melted completely.
4.  Place cookie sheet either in the fridge or to the side where it can cool and set the chocolate.  Let sit for at least 20 minutes.
